Gurify Guide
Everything you need to know about using Gurify to automate your job search.
Getting Started
Gurify automates your job search. It monitors job boards and company career pages, scores every opening against your resume, and generates tailored resumes for the best matches.
How it works
- Upload your resume — Gurify learns your background and skills.
- Create searches — Define what you're looking for: keywords, location, job type.
- Get matched — Every new job is scored. High matches come with a tailored resume, ready to send.
After signing up, Gurify will guide you through uploading your resume and creating your first search.
Your Resume
Your base resume is what Gurify uses to score jobs and generate tailored versions. Upload a PDF or paste your resume text.
Tips for your base resume
- Include all your experience — Gurify will select the most relevant parts for each job.
- Use clear section headers (Experience, Education, Projects).
- Don't worry about length — the AI handles trimming and emphasis.
Your resume is private. Other users cannot see it, and it's never shared with employers without your action.
Job Searches
Job Searches monitor LinkedIn for new job postings matching your criteria. They run automatically every 30 minutes.
Creating a search
- Keywords — What roles you're looking for (e.g., "program manager").
- Exact phrase — Wrap keywords in quotes for precise matching.
- Location — Filter by country or region.
- Job type — Full-time, part-time, contract, or all.
- Experience level — Entry, mid-senior, director, etc.
- Work type — On-site, remote, or hybrid.
- Time range — How recent the postings should be.
Start with broader keywords and refine based on the results. You can always edit or delete searches.
ATS Searches
ATS Searches scan company career pages directly — including Greenhouse, Lever, Comeet, and hundreds of other applicant tracking systems.
Unlike Job Searches (which monitor LinkedIn), ATS Searches find jobs posted on company websites that may not appear on LinkedIn.
Creating an ATS search
- Name — A label for your reference.
- Query — A search query (e.g.,
"program manager" AND Israel).
Opportunities
The Opportunities page shows jobs that scored at or above your threshold. This is your main daily view.
Actions
- Applied — Mark a job you've applied to. Moves it to the "Show applied" filter.
- Skip — Not interested. Moves it to "Show skipped".
- Unmatch — Available in the expanded view. Marks a job as a bad match, which helps improve your rules.
Expanding a job
Click any row to expand it and see the AI's explanation for the score, the full job description, and the Unmatch button.
Tailored Resumes
For each opportunity, you can generate a tailored resume with one click. Gurify's AI rewrites your resume to emphasize the most relevant experience for that specific job.
What happens when you click "Resume"
- Your base resume and the job description are sent to the AI.
- The AI reorders and rephrases bullet points to match the job requirements.
- You're taken to the resume editor where you can review and adjust.
- Download as PDF when ready.
The AI never changes your personal details (name, phone, email, location) or removes any job from your history. It only reorders and rephrases.
Evaluation Rules
Rules tell the AI what matters to you when scoring jobs. They're weighted by importance.
Weights
- Critical — Must-have criteria. Jobs missing these score significantly lower.
- Important — Strong preferences that boost or lower the score.
- Nice-to-have — Minor factors that slightly influence the score.
Example rules
- "Score higher if the role involves people management" (Critical)
- "Prefer roles in Israel or with remote options" (Important)
- "Bonus for companies with 100+ employees" (Nice-to-have)
Test with Sample Job
Paste any job description and click "Test Score" to see how your rules would score it. Costs 1 credit.
Learn from Unmatched Jobs
Click "Analyze" to have the AI review your unmatched jobs and suggest rule improvements. Costs 1 credit.

Credits are used for AI-powered features:

FAQ
How much does Gurify cost?
Gurify is free during beta. Free users get 5 credits. Paid plans with 50 credits/month will be available soon.
What counts as a credit?
Creating a tailored resume, testing a score with a sample job, or analyzing unmatched jobs each cost 1 credit. Job scoring, description extraction, and search polling are free.
How many searches can I create?
Free users: 1 job search + 1 ATS search. Paid users: 10 of each. Admins can override these limits per user.
How often are jobs updated?
Job Searches run every 30 minutes. ATS Searches run on a configurable schedule (default: twice daily). Descriptions are fetched and jobs are scored automatically.
Is my data private?
Yes. Every user's data is fully isolated — your resume, searches, jobs, rules, and tailored resumes are visible only to you.
Can I use my own resume format?
Gurify generates resumes in a clean, ATS-friendly text format with a downloadable PDF. The AI preserves your content and structure while optimizing for the specific job.
How does scoring work?
Each job description is compared against your resume and evaluation rules using AI. The result is a score from 1-10 with an explanation of why the job is or isn't a good match.
What if I don't set up rules?
Scoring still works — the AI compares the job description directly against your resume. Rules give you more control over what matters.
How do I contact support?
Click "Contact Admin" in the sidebar to send a message directly from the app.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no contracts. You can stop using Gurify at any time.
