We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated Backend Automation QA Engineer to join our team.

### Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain test automation for backend services in Java, from smoke suites through full regression

- Grow our automated smoke tests into a trusted staging gate that blocks regressions before they reach production

- Partner with backend developers on end-to-end system verification that goes beyond smoke testing

- Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast, stable, and meaningful

- Help define quality gates and progression suites so every feature is verified by automation as part of the standard delivery process

### Requirements

- 3–5 years in test automation, with strong hands-on Java

- Java, Selenide/Selenium, TestNG, Maven, RestAssured (API), Allure

- Framework and infrastructure building and maintenance — Page Object Model, Docker/Selenoid, GitLab CI, Git

- Solid experience automating backend/API testing (REST, microservices) — request/response validation, functional flows

- A quality-first, automation-first mindset and the drive to reduce manual QA to zero

- Experience using AI tools for development & QA

### Advantages

- Experience with mobile automation (Appium) and device clouds (BrowserStack etc.)

- SQL/DB validation (MySQL via JDBI, Aerospike)

- AWS \ GCP and Kubernetes

- Data-pipeline and feature-flag validation

- Multi-environment test configuration and parallel suite execution in CI

- AdTech experience
