## Job description

### ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the core infrastructure team at an early-stage energy technology company building systems for dynamic electricity plans and reliable billing. You will help develop the backend services and infrastructure that support complex energy market and accounting workflows.

### WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Design backend solutions that simplify billing and energy market operations.

- Scale core infrastructure to support increasing transaction volumes and changing market demands.

- Ship features and improvements through rapid iteration and practical problem solving.

- Contribute to code reviews and architecture decisions, and mentor teammates to raise technical standards.

### WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- At least 3 years of hands-on backend development experience, including recent production coding and shipping.

- Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming.

- Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM-based data access, such as Drizzle or a similar tool.

- Experience building backend services with Next.js, including API routes or server components.

- Familiarity with distributed systems and building scalable, maintainable core services.

- Experience integrating Stripe payments and billing workflows.

- Strong computer science fundamentals gained through formal education or equivalent practical experience, with evidence of notable technical achievement.

- Fluency in German at C1 level or above, strong communication skills, and an ownership mindset.

### COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: €80,000 to €120,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

### LOCATION

On-site in Berlin, Germany, five days per week.
