## Job description

Our customer base has grown fast, and our platform has to grow with it. We're looking for a senior backend engineer who takes a service from idea to production on their own: designs it, builds it, ships it, and runs it. You'll work on scale, performance and reliability, and you're not afraid to open old code and make it better.

### About IONIX

IONIX External Exposure Management protects enterprises' external attack surface from cyber risks and increases security team efficiency by providing tools that shorten the time to discover and prioritize exposures. ### Responsibilities

- Own features and services end-to-end: design, development, deployment and production.

- Solve scale and performance challenges in a platform serving a fast-growing customer base.

- Improve and modernize existing code, not only write new code.

- Work across the stack when needed: mostly backend, with some frontend and DevOps (CI/CD, cloud, Kubernetes).

- Use AI tools and agents as a core part of how you build.

- Lead technical initiatives and raise the bar for the team.

- Take part in a shared on-call rotation.

### Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on backend development on large-scale, production-grade systems.

- Strong Python and/or Go - a must.

- Excellent coding skills and a solid grasp of large-scale architecture and design patterns.

- Proven end-to-end ownership: you've led features or services from design to production.

- Daily, hands-on use of AI coding tools and agents.

- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

### Nice to have

- Experience scaling PostgreSQL.

- Cloud environments, containers and Kubernetes.

- CI/CD and DevOps experience.

- Network protocols and web security knowledge.

- Open-source contributions or side projects.
