We ingest, integrate, and structure critical internal and external datasets into reliable tables, metrics, and data products that help GetYourGuide acquire and retain our customers. We achieve this through close partnership with Growth Analytics and Marketing teams, enabling teams to move faster with confidence. ### Your mission - Own the data end-to-end: Deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions that enable growth decision-making across acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention. - Be a trusted thought partner: Work closely with Marketing, Analytics and Engineering to translate business needs into delivered outcomes and drive adoption of trusted, self-serve data capabilities. - Drive technical excellence in the stack: Lead system design for new capabilities and continuously evolve what's already in production — architecture, testing, observability, performance, and cost efficiency — with a bias toward simplicity, reusability, and maintainability. - Strong operational mindset: Maintain a sustainable balance between operational responsibilities and building new solutions, using team SLOs as an input to prioritize improvements. - Level up the team and shape how we build: Raise the engineering bar through strong code reviews, design input, and hands-on support, and influence standards and technology choices with a focus on simplicity, reusability, and maintainability. ### Your toolkit - Experience: 5+ years in a relevant data role. You've built and owned a data domain end-to-end — from source integration through to the models and metrics that downstream teams depend on - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, able to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. - Data engineering depth: Expertise in SQL & Python, building robust data pipelines and data models, and operating data at scale in warehouses/lakes (e.g., Delta, Snowflake, PostgreSQL/MySQL) with strong focus on data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
