The Engineering Team- Venn’s software engineers develop the tech products that power Venn’s Neighborhood Engagement Platform. The products range from mobile apps, management tools for landlords, smart home solutions, marketplaces, and more. The Technology - We don't just use cutting-edge technologies, we architect and own them end-to-end. Our engineers take full ownership from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment to production. Our backend is powered by Go with a GraphQL api layer running on AWS with Kubernetes orchestration for scalable resilient services. We've built robust CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins that our engineers own and continuously optimize. Our mobile experience runs on React Native with Expo, while our web platform leverages React - our engineers ship features across the entire stack. Our data infrastructure spans the full spectrum - from real-time streaming with SNS and Kinesis, through S3 data lakes, to our Snowflake data warehouse - all architected and maintained by engineers who understand every component. Our current tech arsenal includes: Go, AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, React Native (Expo), React.js, Temporal, SNS, Kinesis, S3, Snowflake, AWS Bedrock, and many more tools that help us build exceptional products. ### About the role We are looking for developers who understand and believe in software engineering best practices (design, clean code, testing, code reviews, automation, etc) and who are also aware of bad practices and anti-patterns. ### The must - 7+ years of programming experience, using Golang, TypeScript, React - Proven experience in developing web applications - Strong analytical thinking, systematic problem-solving skills - Have practiced Test-Driven Development and/or Continuous Integration & Delivery ### The nice - Experience in other languages and frameworks such as React native and GraphQL - Worked on numerous projects in diverse business domains - Experienced in cloud environment development - Degree in computer science or equivalent - Have contributed to, or managed an open-source project Venn is an equal opportunity workplace.
