Role Overview

The FW & QA Scrum master is responsible for planning, tracking, and driving execution of Firmware (FW) and QA activities across projects. This role owns the development and maintenance of detailed workplans, ensuring alignment with release timelines and organizational priorities.

The position works in close collaboration with the FW Release Manager to support efficient, structured, and predictable delivery of FW releases and QA validation cycles.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and maintain comprehensive FW & QA workplans aligned with project timelines and release targets
  • Build and manage Sprints, including:
  • Resource allocation
  • Effort estimation
  • Task dependencies
  • Monitor progress against plans and proactively identify risks, gaps, and delays
  • Track execution and support on-time delivery of FW releases and QA cycles
  • Drive visibility and alignment through clear and structured reporting
  • Provide regular status updates to the FW Release Manager and Group Manager

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience facilitating project planning and delivery in Agile environments, including backlog management, sprint planning, dependency tracking, resource coordination, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in Gantt-based planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet)
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Resource planning
  • Effort estimation
  • Dependency management
  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment, with a good understanding of Agile principles
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage complex activities and multiple dependencies in a dynamic environment
  • Strong collaboration skills, particularly when working with release management functions
